			<abstract>
			Aims: The objective of this study was to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Iranian version of the physical disability sexual and body esteem questionnaire (PDSBE) in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Materials &#38; Methods: The present cross sectional study was conducted on 100 women with PCOS referred to the infertility clinic in Hormozgan province, Iran. After translating the questionnaire and to determine the linguistic validity, a panel of experts evaluated the content validity index (CVI) and content validity ratio (CVR). Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was done to assess the questionnaire structure. Discriminate and convergent validity were evaluated, using known group comparisons and correlating PDSBE with body image concern inventory (BICI).
Finding: CVI and CVR results were 0.9 and 0.95, respectively. The results of EFA showed a 2 factor structure (sexual esteem and sexual attraction perceived by others) responsible for 61.21% of variance. A Cronbach&#39;s alpha test of the questionnaire was satisfactory. The results of known group comparisons showed that PDSBE differentiates well between patients, who differ in terms of clinical characteristics. Moreover, the results of convergent validity were indicative of a desirable correlation between the scores of BICI questionnaire and the domains of sexual esteem (r=0.43, p&#60;0.001) and attractiveness of PDSBE (r= 0.48; p&#60;0.001).
Conclusion: The PDSBE is an understandable and readable questionnaire. Also, women with normal clinical features had higher level of sexual esteem and felt more attractive.

			<abstract>
			Aims: Depression is a common psychiatric disorder after myocardial infarction. So it is necessary to find the appropriate intervention to reduce depression. This study aimed at comparing the effect of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) on depression in patients with myocardial infarction.
Materials &#38; Methods: In this clinical trial, 90 eligible patients with myocardial infarction in Imam Sajjad Hospital, Yasuj, Iran were selected by convenience sampling method. Patients were randomly divided to 2 intervention groups and 1 control group by block randomization (n=30). The EMDR group received the protocol in 8 sessions twice a week for 45 to 90 minutes. The other intervention group received CBT in 10 sessions for 90 minutes twice weekly. The third group did not receive any intervention. Their depression was measured in pre- and post-interventions by Beck Depression questionnaire. The data were analyzed by SPSS 20 software, using descriptive statistics, Fisher&#8217;s exact test, Chi-square test, paired t test, analysis of variance (ANOVA), and Tukey&#8217;s post hoc test.
Findings: There was a significant difference in the mean difference (-8.06) of depression scores between intervention groups of EMDR and CBT (p&#60;0.001). EMDR showed a greater reduction in the mean depression values in comparison with the CBT. A significant difference was observed in the mean score depression before and after intervention in both CBT and EMDR groups (p&#60;0.001).
Conclusion: Both EMDR and cognitive behavioral therapy methods reduce depression of patients with myocardial infarction patients, but EMDR is more effective.

			<abstract>
			Aims: Evidence has suggested that there might be negative consequences and beneﬁts associated with maternal exercise while breastfeeding. The aim of the present study was to determine the effect of the exercise on lactation in breastfeeding women regarding whether mothers can exercise and breastfeed without detriment to the growth of their infants.
Materials &#38; Methods: In this randomized controlled clinical trial, 38 lactating mothers with inclusion criteria referring to breastfeeding clinic, Isfahan, Iran in 2015 to 2016 were randomly divided into the intervention and control groups. The intervention group was required to do aerobic exercises for 6 weeks (3 days in week for 30 minutes in day).Training of aerobic exercise under the supervision of an expert was, then, performed. An educational pamphlet of the exercises along with the CD was given to them. Control group only received the routine care. After the intervention, mother and neonate outcomes such as mother&#39;s breastfeeding interval and neonate weight were measured by the breastfeeding questionnaire. Data analysis was performed by t-test, X2 and Mann&#8211;Whitney&#160;U test.
Findings: A significant difference was observed between 2 groups concerning the interval of breastfeeding (3.55&#177;0.51 VS 2.05&#177; 0.41) and neonate&#39;s weight (6775.00&#177;468.34 VS 5836.11&#177; 401.39; p&#60;0.001). In the group that received aerobic exercises, the number of breastfeeding in 24 hours and neonate&#39;s weight were more than control group.
Conclusion: Aerobic exercise has positive on the breastfeeding frequency and body weight of neonate. Thus, these exercises are recommended to be incorporated in postpartum care.

			<abstract>
			Aims Gastrointestinal (GI) cancer is commonly increasingly prevalent among Indians and improvement of health related quality of life (HRQOL) has been one of goals in health care for people living with cancer. The aim of this study was to examine the relationships between perceived Stress, depression, perceived social support, coping strategies and Health locus of control (HLOC) with health related quality of life (HRQOL) in patient with gastrointestinal cancer.
Materials &#38; Methods In this cross sectional study 100 Indian patients with GI cancer were selected with convenience sampling method from Nizam&#8217;s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) Hospital in Hyderabad, India from July 2013 to September 2014. Data were collected using questionnaires. Relationships between variables were tested by path analysis, using SPSS/AMOS 23.
Findings Maladaptive coping directly and negatively correlated with HRQOL (&#946;=&#8722;0.15), mediated by perceived stress. HRQOL of the patients with cancer, who used more maladaptive coping perceived more stress, was worse. Perceived Social Support directly and positively correlated with HRQOL (&#946;=0.44) mediated by perceived stress and depression, demonstrating that patients with higher perceived social support experienced less stress and depression; therefore, they have better HRQOL. Depression (&#946;=&#8722;0.40) and Perceived Stress (&#946;=&#8722;0.22) directly and negatively correlated with HRQOL. Perceived stress was mediated by
Depression. There was no significant association between HLOC and HRQOL.
Conclusion The important role of social support needs to be communicated to family members in home visits. Promoting Coping and Adjustment to cancer and Psychological intervention for preventing and treating depression is necessary.

			<abstract>
			Aims: Spinal analgesia is the most common method that provides pain relief during labor and controversy exists about its effect on the maternal and fetal among the women.
This study was conducted to determine the effect of intrathecal analgesia (ITA) on perineal laceration, duration of the first, second, and third stage of labor, and Apgar score.
Materials &#38; Methods: Fifty primipara parturients with gestational age &#8805;37 weeks, in the active phase with cervical dilation of 3-4 cm participated in this randomized clinical trial study. Any participant with contraindication for vaginal delivery or spinal analgesia, the use of sedative drugs, and fetal malpresentation was excluded from the study. Based on whether they consented to ITA or Non-ITA parturients, they were divided to the ITA (n=25) and non-ITA (25) groups. The duration of the first, second, and third stage of labor, perineal laceration, birth weight, and Apgar scores were recorded and compared.
Results: Duration of the first stage of labor was significantly higher in the ITA (7.34&#177;4.27) parturients compared to the non-ITA (5.52&#177;2.1) group (p&#60;0.039). There was no significant difference in the duration of third stage of labor between two groups (p&#62;0.321). The number of Perineal laceration increased significantly in the ITA group compared to the non-ITA parturients (p=0.001). Neonatal outcomes demonstrated that there was no statistical significant difference in the first and fifth minute Apgar scores between 2 groups.
Conclusion: Intrathecal analgesia can provide effective analgesia for labouring patients, but prolong the first and second stage of labor.

			<abstract>
			Aims: The present study was conducted with the aim of determining the effect of passive movements on hemodynamic parameters, including systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, mean arterial pressure, pulse, and pulse pressure of patients under ventilation.
Materials &#38; Method: In this controlled clinical trial, 64 patients under ventilation in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad University of Medical Sciences and Health Services and Shiraz University of Medical Sciences were selected by convenience sampling method. They were assigned to experimental (32 people) and control (32 people) groups, using random block assignment. The experimental group, in half supine position at 30&#176;, received passive movements of the lower extremities, according to the protocol, by a therapist for 22 minutes. Then, the values of hemodynamic parameters were recorded after 22 minutes and at intervals of 2, 6, 12 and 24h after the post-test, as follow-up times. Data were analyzed by SPSS 21 software, using independent t-test, Chi-square test and repeated measure of variance analysis.
Findings: In hemodynamic parameters of the experimental group in each time interval, including immediately, 2 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, and 24 hours after the completion of the research interventions, compared with their amount at the starting point of the study, and in comparison with these changes in the control group, there was no significant difference (p&#62;0.05).
Conclusion: Passive movements of lower extremity have no effect on hemodynamic parameters, including systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, mean arterial pressure, pulse, and pulse pressure of patients under ventilation.

			<abstract>
			Aims Preterm labor (delivery earlier than 37 weeks) is one of the most common problems
with midwifery. Recently, vitamin D deficiencies have been reported with adverse maternal
outcomes such as pregnancy toxicity, intrauterine growth limitation, and preterm labor. The
aim of this study was to compare the effect of 2 doses of vitamin D (Vit D-Ca and Vit D-Ca+Vit
D) from the 16th week on preterm labor in pregnant women.
Materials &#38; Methods The present single-blind randomized clinical trial was conducted
on 202 pregnant women referred to 5 obstetric and gynecological clinics in Bandar Abbas,
Hormozgan province, Iran during January 2016 to March 2017. The subjects were selected
by randomization sampling method and were randomly assigned into group A (n=150) and
group B (n=152). Group A received Vit D-Ca supplements, containing 400 IU/day, and group
B received Vit D-Ca supplement plus Vit D (with D3 brand), containing 1000 IU/day from
the 16th week of pregnancy until delivery. The subjects were examined from the 16th week
of pregnancy until delivery. The data were analyzed by SPSS 21 software, using independent
t-test, Mann-Whitney U test and Chi-square test.
Findings The incidence of preterm labor in the group receiving Vit D-Ca+Vit D (group B) was
24 (16.0%) and in the group receiving Vit D-Ca alone was 25 (16.7%). There was a significant
difference between the two groups in terms of preterm labor (p=0.01).
Conclusion Vit D-Ca plus Vit D intake reduces preterm labor in pregnant women more than
Vit D-Ca alone intake.
