			<abstract>
			Aims:&#160;Identifying the knowledge and skills of emergency medical technicians in mass casualty incidents can minimize the risks associated with the response. This study was conducted with the aim of investigating the factors affecting the skill and efficiency of emergency medical service staff in mass casualty road traffic incidents.
Participants &#38; Methods:&#160;The present research was conducted with a semi-structured qualitative method on 31 officials and personnel of pre-hospital emergency, Red Crescent and police forces who were selected by purposive sampling method from June 2018 to September 2019. Data were analyzed by conventional content analysis method
Findings:&#160;Effective factors on skill and efficiency were identified in the two main categories of professional performance (with 2 subcategories of triage requirements and challenges and functional deficiencies) and employee competence (with 4 subcategories of necessity for psychological recovery, professional competence improvement, technician skill improvement, and commitment and professional ethics).
Conclusion:&#160;Inability in triage, functional deficiencies and lack of knowledge and skills related to trauma at the scene of the accident, cause disruption in the professional performance of emergency medical service staff. Unpredictable conditions put additional stress on relief workers on the scene. Improving knowledge and skills, psychological recovery, compliance with moral values, and efforts to improve professional qualifications will improve competence and increase skills and efficiency at work. By training people in first aid, people-oriented management and using people&#39;s participation, people can be involved and their potential can be used to provide relief services.

			<abstract>
			Aims:&#160;The emergence and rapid spread of the Covid-19 disease not only caused public health concerns, but also caused a number of psychological disorders. The present study was conducted to compare psychological disorders between patients with and without Covid-19 in Yasuj city, Iran.
Instruments &#38; Methods: This descriptive-comparative study was conducted in Yasuj city in 2021. 480 participants including 240 participants with Covid-19 and 240 participants without Covid-19 were selected by purposive sampling method through websites and virtual channels. Nine psychological symptoms including depression, anger-hostility, somatization, anxiety, psychoticism, interpersonal sensibility, paranoid ideation, obsessive-compulsive, and phobia&#160;were evaluated using the Symptom Checklist-90-Revised. Data were analyzed in SPSS 24 software using chi-square test and independent t-test.
Findings:&#160;Psychological symptoms, including depression, anger-hostility, somatization, anxiety, psychoticism, interpersonal sensibility, paranoid ideation, obsessive-compulsive, and phobia were significantly higher in the Covid-19 group than in the healthy group (p&#60;0.001). In Covid-19 group, the incidence of psychological symptoms was significantly higher in men compared to women and in single patients compared to married patients (p&#60;0.001).
Conclusion:&#160;The frequency and chance of having psychological disorders in patients with Covid-19 is higher compared to healthy people.

			<abstract>
			Aims:&#160;Mothers whose children suffer from chronic diseases experience high levels of stress. Promoting the sense of coherence can be a way to reduce the stress. The aim of this study was to compare the effect of teach-back method and video clip teaching on the sense of coherence of mothers with children suffering from asthma.
Materials &#38; Methods:&#160;In this randomized controlled trial, 75 eligible mothers with children suffering from asthma in Yasuj in 2020 were selected by convenience sampling method and randomly assigned into three groups: video clip group, teach-back method group and control group. In video clip group, training was performed through a 15-minute clip in two sessions. In teach-back method group 8 training sessions were held. Data were collected using the Antonovsky&#39;s Sense of Coherence scale-13 at baseline and one month after the intervention. Data were analyzed using SPSS 21 by descriptive and inferential statistics.
Findings:&#160;Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in the mean score of sense of coherence and its subscale in the three groups (p&#62;0.05). One month after the intervention, there was a significant difference in the mean score of sense of coherence and its subscales between the two intervention groups with the control group (p=0.001). Also, a significant difference was observed between the two intervention groups in the mean scores of the sense of coherence and comprehensibility (p&#60;0.05).
Conclusion:&#160;Both video clip and teach-back methods improves mothers&#39; sense of coherence, but teach-back method is more effective than video clip teaching.

			Aims: The COVID-19 pandemic has been a global crisis for more than two years, which caused an immense global burden on economy, health care and education. More than 250 million people have been infected with this novel virus, among which more than 5 million have died. Prevention is the best strategy against COVID-19 infection in both children and adults. This narrative review aimed at summarizing the important epidemiological and clinical findings of COVID-19 infection and its transmission, clinical manifestation, laboratory findings, radiographic findings, and diagnosis.
Conclusion: Reports have shown that paediatric patients are often exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus through a family member, and that COVID-19 infection is a serious threat to this vulnerable age group. Milder or asymptomatic manifestations of this new disease in younger patients should not cause this population to be neglected. Numerous epidemiological and clinical studies have reported the burden of this novel infection in children and the chance of severe forms of infection, hospitalisation, and admission to ICU. However, many aspects of pathophysiological and immunological mechanisms regarding COVID-19 infection in children are still unexplained. Clinical characteristics of COVID-19 infection is different in children compared to adults, and a comprehensive knowledge regarding this distinction can lead to timely diagnosis and successful management of COVID-19 in these patients.

			<abstract>
			Aims:&#160;Teucrium polium is a medicinal plant that is used due to its antispasmodic and antimicrobial properties. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of the essential oil of T. polium against fungal, bacterial strains, and Giardia lamblia. 
Materials &#38; Methods:&#160;In this clinical laboratory study, Teucrium polium was collected from the Dena mountain area in Yasuj, Iran. Essential oil was prepared from plant powder. Clinical Aspergillus species were isolated from otomycosis patients. For Candida species, the researchers used clinical isolates with otomycosis and vaginitis origin. 33 Aspergillus strains, 49 Candida species, and 33 non-albicans species were used as samples. The samples were collected and cultured on Sabouraud dextrose agar and identified based on PCR-sequencing analysis. Different concentrations of essential oil were assessed by broth microdilution method against clinical fungi and bacterial isolates. Also, anti-Giardia activity of this essential oil was investigated at different times and concentrations. Chemical analysis of the essential oil was done by Gas Chromatography&#8211;Mass Spectrometry.
Findings:&#160;The inhibitory effect of essential oil of T. polium on Candida and Aspergillus strains was varied and dependent on species. Generally, the effect of essential oil on non-albicans species was better than C. albicans isolates. Also, essential oil had an inhibitory effect on E. coli and Klebsiella but did not affect methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Its effect on Giardia isolates was dependent on time and concentration. Oxygenated monoterpenes are the major compound of T. polium.
Conclusion:&#160;Teucrium polium essential oil has a considerable inhibitory effect on different strains of microorganisms.

			Aims: Interleukin-10 is an important immunoregulatory cytokine that has an inhibitory effect on the initiation and progression of inflammatory responses in different situations such as autoimmune diseases including rheumatoid arthritis. Polymorphism in IL-10 promoter region affects the expression of this gene. It therefore seems reasonable that these polymorphisms may contribute to rheumatoid arthritis susceptibility in special populations. the aim of this study was to investigate the association between IL-10 rs1800872 polymorphism in the promoter region of human IL-10 gene and susceptibility to rheumatoid arthritis in the patients in southwest of Iran.
Materials &#38; Methods: The present study is a case-control study conducted among patients with and without rheumatoid arthritis referred to the Mofateh clinic in Yasuj, Iran. Both case (n=64) and control (n=65) groups were selected using purposive sampling and were matched in terms of age, gender and ethnicity. Peripheral blood samples were collected from subjects and rs1800872 genotypes were determined by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism method. SPSS 26.0 software was used for statistical analysis of data
Findings: The association between the frequency of TT genotypes and the incidence of rheumatoid arthritis was significant (OR=6.45; 95% CI= 1.30-32.00; p=0.023). On the other hand, the distribution of the T allele showed a significant relationship with rheumatoid arthritis (OR= 2.23; 95% CI= 1.26&#8211;3.97; p=0.006).
Conclusion: TT genotype of rs1800872 polymorphism is associated with rheumatoid arthritis susceptibility in southwestern Iranian population and can be considered as a risk factor for rheumatism.

			<abstract>
			Aims: Anxiety caused by repeated venipuncture is common in patients with thalassemia in the thalassemia ward. Acupressure is one of the methods used to reduce patients&#39; anxiety. This study aimed to determine the effect of the P6 point acupressure on anxiety caused by venipuncture in thalassemia patients. 
Materials &#38; Methods: This randomized controlled clinical trial was conducted on 80 patients with thalassemia at Shahid Beheshti Hospital in Yasuj city in 2019, who were divided into two intervention and control groups by blocked random allocation. Acupressure intervention was performed at P6 point on the inner side of the arm and in the cavity between the bones of the forearm, above the crease of the wrist. The Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory was used to collect information. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (independent t-test, paired t-test, and chi-square test) through SPSS 21 software.
Findings: There was no significant difference in the state and trait anxiety between the intervention and control groups at the beginning of the study (p&#62;0.05). However, a significant difference was observed in the state anxiety between the intervention and control groups after the intervention (p&#60;0.05), but there was no significant difference in the trait anxiety score between the two groups (p&#62;0.05).
Conclusion: Acupressure reduces trait anxiety caused by venipuncture in thalassemia patients hospitalized to the thalassemia ward, while it does not affect their trait anxiety.
