			<abstract>
			Aims: Diabetes is a set of complex disorders in the metabolism of protein, fat and carbohydrates, which by creating physiological and biochemical changes in nerve cells, causes chronic psychomotor and musculoskeletal disorders such as disorders in muscle strength and balance.
Materials &#38; Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 70 known cases of diabetes type Ⅱ and 70 healthy people aged 40 to 70 years and without skeletal-muscular and cognitive problems were investigated by a multiple step (convenience, random block) method. In each groups, the demographic questionnaire, Berg balance scale and muscle strength were measured with a manual dynamometer. Chi-Square, Fisher&#39;s exact test and t-test were used to analyze the data.
Findings: According to the results of this study, the average score of the Berg test in the control group was higher than the diabetes type Ⅱ patients (p&#8804;0.05) and the strength of the selected muscles of the lower limbs, except plantar flexor, was higher in the control group than in the diabetes type Ⅱ (p&#8804;0.05).
Conclusion: Dynamic balance and independence walking in healthy people is more than patients with diabetes. Therefore, occupational therapy intervention is recommended to reduce the risk of falls and diabetic foot ulcer.

			<abstract>
			Aims: Cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) is an uncommon neurological condition responsible for 0.5 to 1% of strokes occurring among the adult population. CVT diagnosis is challenging due to its wide range of risk factors and clinical presentations. In this paper, we aimed to introduce two cases with psychiatric presentations of the CVT, which has been so misleading for the physicians up to now and led to delayed diagnosis.
Method: In the current study, one patient with Catatonia and the other with Akinetic mutism simulating catatonia were discussed based on their mechanisms and MRI findings..
Findings: The patients were reffered with dysfunction in speech, the decreased motions, and other symptoms related to specific psychiatric disorders. In case 1, MRI findings demonstrated a hyperintensity in the left thalamus and thrombosis in the left jugular vein, sigmoid sinus, and transverse sinusFinally, and in case 2, &#160;there was thrombosis in her Strait sinus. Therefore, anticoagulants wsa prescribed, and the complications improved, except for short memory loss.
Conclusion: catatonia and akinetic mutism are associated with various psychiatric and medical conditions that can be misdiagnosed if we did not consider these disorders.&#160;

			Aims: Studies conducted in the field of non-pharmacological interventions to control delayed nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy have reported contradictory results. The present study was conducted with the aim of comparing the effect of ice massage and C-band on acute and delayed nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy.
Materials and methods: In the present clinical trial study, 105 patients referred to the chemotherapy department of Shahid Rajaei Hospital, Yasuj, Iran, in 2018, were selected by convenience sampling and randomly assigned to three groups: Ice massage, C bandage and control. In the group of ice massage and C bandage, massage with zinc ice and C bandage were used for stimulation, respectively. Acute nausea and vomiting was assessed through the Moro questionnaire, and delayed nausea and vomiting were assessed using the mask tool at 6, 12, 18, 24 and 48 hours after chemotherapy before and after the interventions. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS version 22 software.
Findings: Before intervention, there was no significant difference in terms of the presence/absence, as well as the severity of acute and delayed nausea and vomiting in the three groups at 6, 12, 18 and 24 hours after chemotherapy (p&#62;0.05). Also, there was no significant difference in the presence/absence and intensity of acute and delayed nausea in the patients in the ice massage, band C, and control groups at 6, 12, 18, and 24 hours after chemotherapy after the interventions.
Conclusion: Ice massage and C-bandage did not improve nausea and vomiting in chemotherapy patients.

			<abstract>
			Aims: Burns and wounds caused by it are a global injury. Finding natural ingredients to accelerate wound healing in patients with fewer side effects could be valuable. This study aimed to determine the effect of oral Centella asiatica extract on the healing of pain and wound of burn in patients.
Materials &#38; Methods: This study is a clinical trial in which 76 patients hospitalized in the burn department were randomly divided into two intervention (n=38) and control (n=38) groups. The intervention group, in addition to the usual antibiotic treatments, received capsules containing 200mg of Centella asiatica twice daily, and the control group received capsules containing 200mg of starch twice daily. Data collection tools were Bates-Jensen Wound Assessment tool and Visual Analog Scale. Patients&#39; pain and wound healing status were examined at different time of the study. 
Findings: The mean burn pain score showed a significant improvement in the intervention group compared to the control group (p&#60;0.001). The average wound healing score did not show significant improvement in the intervention group compared to the control group (p=0.561). However, size (p=0.023), the degree of destruction of the underlying tissues (p=0.032), the amount of necrotic tissue (p=0.015), and the amount of granulation tissue (p=0.001) improved significantly in the intervention group. In addition, the peripheral tissue edema in the control group decrease significantly compared to the intervention group (p=0.008).
Conclusion: Oral extract of Centella asiatica reduces pain in burn patients. However, it does not affect wound healing, although it improves some wound healing indicators.

			Aims: Stroke is a localized and sudden neurological disorder in the brain that can decrease muscle strength. This study aimed to determine the effect of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation exercises on the muscle strength of stroke patients.
Materials &#38; Methods: This pre-post clinical trial with a randomized control group was conducted in 2017-2018. Patients with stroke were referred to the Neurology Department of Shahid Beheshti Hospital in Yasuj City, Iran. Sixty eligible stroke patients were selected through convenience sampling and assigned to intervention and control groups using random block allocation. Data were collected through a muscle strength questionnaire at baseline, immediately post-intervention, and four weeks after the last intervention. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 21 software, employing Wilcoxson and Mann-Whitney U.
Findings: There was no statistically significant difference in muscle strength between the research samples before and immediately after the intervention. However, one month after the intervention, a statistically significant difference was reported between the two groups (p&#60;0.05). The difference in the mean muscle strength was significant in the test group (p=0.001).
Conclusion: Implementing proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation techniques improves muscle strength in stroke patients.

			<abstract>
			Aims: Escherichia coli, a gram-negative bacterium, is a predominant pathogen causing urinary tract infections, responsible for approximately 90% of cases in young women. This study aimed to investigate the frequency of the blaOXA-48 gene in carbapenem-resistant uropathogenic Escherichia coli.
Materials &#38; Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted from July to November 2022 using 320 urine samples from hospitals and healthcare centers in Yasuj City, Iran. The antibiotic resistance of the isolates was assessed through the disk diffusion method. The presence of the blaOXA-48 gene was investigated using the polymerase chain reaction with specific primers. Data was analyzed using SPSS 24 software.
Findings: Escherichia coli showed varying degrees of resistance to different antibiotics. The highest resistance was against doripenem (96.6%), while the lowest was against tetracycline (22.5%). The PCR method revealed 55 (36.7%) positive (24 males and 31 females) and 95 (63.3%) negative (39 males and 56 females) cases of blaOXA-48 gene in the studied Escherichia coli samples.
Conclusion: The most effective antibiotic for treating urinary tract infections caused by Escherichia coli is tetracycline.

			<abstract>
			Aims: In patients with cancer, sleep quality is disturbed, and they need treatment. Considering the side effects of medication, complementary therapy can be helpful. Therefore, this research aimed to compare the effect of two methods of compassionate hypnotherapy and acceptance and commitment therapy on the sleep quality in breast cancer patients.
Materials &#38; Methods: The research method was quasi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The sample size was 45 people selected by convenience sampling method and using block randomization were allocated into 3 groups: compassionate hypnotherapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and a control group (each group 15 patients). In group 1, compassionate hypnotherapy intervention and group 2, acceptance and commitment therapy intervention were performed during eight sessions. Before and after the intervention, the study groups completed the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Questionnaire. The data was analyzed by SPSS 26 using Chi-square, ANCOVA, and MANCOVA.
Findings: The average sleep quality in companionate hypnotherapy and acceptance and commitment groups was significantly higher than in the control group (p=0.001). The compassionate hypnotherapy group indicated a significant improvement in the sleep quality score compared to the acceptance and commitment therapy group (p=0.001).
Conclusion: Compassionate hypnotherapy has a better effect than acceptance and commitment therapy on improving sleep quality.

			<abstract>
			Aims: The maxillary sinuses are the largest paranasal sinuses adjacent to the teeth. Various mechanisms play an important role in the growth of maxillary sinus cavities. This study aimed to compare maxillary sinus volume (MSV) with nasal septal deviation (NSD), concha bullosa (CB) impacted teeth, and missing teeth using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT).
Instrument and Methods: This retrospective study was conducted on CBCT images of 186 patients referring to a radiography center in Yasuj, Iran, in 2022-23. Data including age, gender, NSD, and CB, impacted teeth, and missing teeth (premolar and canine) were examined. MSV was measured in the coronary section using the 3D NNT viewer software.
Findings: There was no significant difference between the volume of the right and left maxillary sinuses (p=0.352). Males had a significantly higher mean MSV than females (p&#60;0.001). There were no significant correlations between MSV and age (r=-0.064; p=0.492). No significant differences were found between MSV in sides of NSD (p=0.433), CB (p=0.933), impacted teeth (p=0.815), missing teeth (p=0.497), and the opposite side. There was no statistically significant difference between MSV in mild and moderate NSD on the side of the deviation and the opposite side; only in severe nasal septum deviation was significantly higher than the opposite side (p&#60;0.001).
Conclusion: The patient&#39;s age, NSD, CB, impacted teeth, and missing teeth are unrelated to maxillary sinus volume. Males have higher mean sinus volume than females.
