Abstract   (7 Views)
Background: Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) are a serious complication of diabetes mellitus and may negatively affect patients’ self-care practices, mobility, and functional independence. Assessing foot care knowledge, self-care behaviors, and motor function may help identify patients’ care needs and areas requiring targeted clinical intervention.
Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study aimed to assess foot care knowledge, self-care behaviors, and motor function among patients with diabetic foot ulcers. Data were collected using appropriate assessment instruments to evaluate foot care knowledge, self-care practices, and functional mobility. Descriptive statistical methods were used to summarize participants’ demographic and clinical characteristics and the main study variables.
Results: The results are to be reported based on the actual study data, including participants’ levels of foot care knowledge, self-care behaviors, and motor function, together with relevant descriptive statistics.
Conclusion: Comprehensive care for patients with diabetic foot ulcers should address foot care knowledge, promote appropriate self-care behaviors, and consider motor function and mobility. Integrating patient education with functional assessment may help inform individualized care planning and support the management of diabetic foot ulcers and the prevention of further complications.
